Hello, I am Ruth from Walk Dublin. I love our City of Dublin where I was born and raised and I am fascinated by its history. My aim is to share this passion of Dublin’s delights and make your tour a truly unique experience.
Walk Dublin was established in 2017 to give themed tours for small groups where you will enjoy and explore the most historic, cultural and original elements of our fair City. I have created many bespoke tours designed around visitor’s specific interests. These have included singers who sang through the historic and picturesque sights; fans of literature have read passages from their favourite books at locations where events happened and whiskey enthusiasts who visited small distilleries and many, many more.
My interests are history, architecture, coffee and tea. It is such a pleasure is to meet new people, share each tour’s unique aspects with you and see how much you enjoy yourselves.
Walking ToursMy vision is to share this passion of Dublin’s delights and make your tour a truly unique experience. I have been working for over ten years as a tour guide on OPW (Official Government) tourist sites such as Phoenix Park, Farmleigh House and Castletown House. I have also worked for City Sightseeing Tours where I gave bus and coach tours of Dublin, Wicklow, Malahide Castle and Howth. On Cruise Ship Tours I have guided people to the Book of Kells, Dublin Castle, private tours, St Patrick’s Cathedral and Celtic Nights out.
Prior to this I have explored many cities, strolled the streets to seek out hidden delights to share with friends. It gave me a love of learning and a certainty that guiding was the career for me.
