See the sunken sights, imagine the sounds and inhale the smells of Medieval Dublin.
We will see the sights, sounds and most importantly smells of a very different time. The Dark Ages was when the Vikings founded Dublin and everything was made of wood. There were constant battles both internally and with the Gaelic Irish so life was uncertain and many people were shipped to Iceland, brrr.
Strongbow arrived and brought Dublin into a larger Medieval world. Was it was world of Princesses in Towers and Knights in shining armour, let’s see!
We will see a sunken tower, remains of the old Dublin walls and have a thing (game) where we work out who stole the sheep in a Viking court of law. Bring your play swords and we will duel on the Medieval Walls to see trial by combat, popular in Medieval Times.
This was a time when children worked and got up really early, when they slept in the same beds and shared this room with their parents, yuck!
There are two versions of this tour, one for children and the other to bring out the inner child.

Really enjoyed our walking tour of Dublin. An interesting and informative walk and talk around the historical city centre of Dublin. Engaging and enjoyable for children.
Ruth our guide was extremely knowledgeable in the history of Dublin. It's great to learn in a fun entertaining way and this tour delivered on that. So many things about the medieval period I learned that I will never forget because of the amusing way the information was delivered. A must do this tour.
Myself and my children joined Ruth on her Medival tour. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My children surprised me with their interest in Medival Dublin and Ruth always had a funny and interesting story to share. We learnt lots about Medival Dublin. Ruth kept both adults and children captivated during the tour. I look forward to joining Ruth on other walking tours in Dublin.
This was a lovely coffee tour and we had a really enjoyable experience
WalkDublin will have you as fit as a fiddle as you are guided through Dublins's narrow streets and bridges. The wealth of historical knowledge Ruth shares is incredible and the entertainment value alone is worth taking a tour. Time flies when you are having fun. Thanks a mil Ruth for a fun Sunday afternoon.
